The Volturi have protected the secret of their race for thousands and thousands of years. They step in if there are newborns on the loose or there is a potential exposure risk. But now, all that is about to fall from under them, and of course the rest of the vampires out there. Aro, Marcus and Caius now need to pull their allies together to protect themselves and the human world from death and destruction.
A rogue vampire named Kellan Adonis is gathering vampires who are easy to sway to help him create an army of newborn vampires to wreak havoc all over America. And then eventually newborns to help him overthrow the Volturri. Kellan feels and believes that the humans need ot learn a lesson for forcing the vampires into hiding, he feels vampires should not hide anymore. Of course, there is a reason why these things have been kept secret for centuries, to protect their race from hunters and people who wouldn’t understand, and also to protect those families like the Cullen’s who can live in peace with humans and even help save lives like Carlisle can. To Kellan this is pathetic and disgusting and he wants change. Even if that change means fighting the Volturi themselves and over throwing them.

In the small Washington state town of Forks, the final preparations are taking place for the wedding of Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen. But as the big days gets closer, news of Kellan’s plight an what he’s planning reaches the Cullen’s and threatens the big day. News of the rise in murders in cities throughout America shake them deeply because they realise Kellan must have quite a following -- but that’s no the worst part of it. What’s worse is the fact that most of these killings are happening in towns and cities surrounding Forks. The newborns are intent on following the instructions Kellan passes on through his hordes and won’t listen to reason. They leave death in their wake as well as creating more newborns as they go. The closer they get to Forks, the more closed in the small town where the Cullen’s have felt safe for year gets, the danger rises at a greater speed.
Carlisle knows that plans must be made and allies found to protect Forks from falling pray to Kellan, the word must also be sent to friends in other smaller towns that may be at risk. Bella and Edward’s wedding will go ahead as planned, all leading up to Bella being changed. This is more critical than ever, she wants to fight instead of being a clumsy hindrance and the only sure fire way for her to be able to do that is to become a vampire sooner rather than later.
As things seem to be moving at an alarming rate, some new hope comes from the most unlikely of places. News that shocks the Cullen’s greatly. Jacob Black and his Quileute brothers are willing to fight side by sie with their enemies to protect everyone. Jacob is also willing to, if it’s needed, to head to Italy to help the Volturi as well.
With all this in hand, there is hope to cling too, but with the Volturri and everything they have worked for at risk, it’s not going to be easy. The need to protect secrets and the lives of those completely unawares of what is going on between supposed creatures of myth is high. Hope is exactly the brand of herion Edward, Bella and the others need to keep fighting. Will you join this fight? Or will you stand by and watch? The choice is yours.
